Short Project Description (150 words):

A new journal Spatial Demography was launched in April 2013. This online journal focuses “on the spatial analysis of demographic processes based on modern demographic data visualization, enhanced geo-referenced data availability, and spatial statistics. The journal features full color graphics, motion video tools, and a quick time-to-publication. It publishes research articles, essays, research reports, data sources, computing software, teaching notes, and book reviews on a wide range of topics of interest to the social demographer.”

The editors of Spatial Demography are Frank M. Howell (Mississippi State University) and Jeremy R. Porter (City University of New York).
