The Advanced Spatial Analysis Program is considering sponsorship of Webinars presented by leading researchers and instructors who work at the intersection of spatial analysis and the population sciences.
The series would serve instructors of demography courses and researchers who seek familiarity with the latest advances in spatial demography.
Areas of potential focus include:
(a) Spatial Concepts (e.g., spatial dependence and demographic processes/spatial thinking in the undergraduate demography curriculum)
(b) Geospatial Data (e.g., the potentials and limitations of specific U.S. and international data sets for spatial demographic research)
(c) Geospatial Technologies (e.g., using GPS and cell-phones in studies of human activity space)
(d) Spatial Methods (e.g., data visualization and spatial uncertainty)
Additional information about plans for this series will be available on this page in July 2013.
